Gibbs & Register, Inc. Florida's leading civil firm is seeking experienced Universal Operators.
Will be working in Punta Gorda market.
Job Title: Heavy Equipment Operator
Reports Directly To: Foreman or Immediate Supervisor
Job Description:
Operate heavy equipment in a safe and efficient manner
Must be able to perform the following tasks:
o Make sure trenches are safe before allowing anyone to enter
o Ensure no one is in swing path or behind moving equipment
o Know limitations of equipment assigned and how to operate each piece in a safe and efficient manner
o Day to day maintenance of equipment
o Heavy lifting and shoveling up to 80 lbs.
o Ability to work in extreme heat conditions
o Must be able to mount and dismount off of vehicles and/or equipment
o Attend weekly safety meetings
o Climb vertical ladders
o Withstand rough and bumping equipment
o Wear hard hat and work in dusty conditions
o General labor work/clean up
o Keep work area organized and safe
Employees operating a vehicle for Work Site Employer's purposes will be required to maintain a valid, eligible driver's license, and a driving record acceptable to our insurance carrier at all times. Requires previous experience minimum of 3 years. Job requires frequent lifting of 25 - 100 lbs., stretching, stooping, bending, squatting, twisting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and kneeling.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
