Unit Secretary - Med/Surg - Nights
POSITIONUnder direct supervision of the Clinical Manager/designee, performs the receptionist/secretarial duties on thepatient care unit while functioning as the focal communication source.
Functions as the unit receptionist, greetsvisitors and patients, responds to physician inquiries and requests, uses appropriate line of communication andauthority.
Assists with the admission and discharge of patients.
Responsible for accurate data entry of allinformation required for the development and maintenance of the patient record.
Maintains departmentstatistics and prepares monthly reports as directed.
Performs duties in accordance with established policies andprocedures of Bayfront Health Punta Gorda.
Performs other duties as assigned.
