Responsibilities:
Oversee the operations of the Accounting Function within the organization, which include accounts payable, accounts receivable and assist with inventory reconciliation.
Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures; implement a system of controls over accounting transactions to minimize risk.
Oversee the production of periodic financial reports; ensure that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles.
Responsible to ensure that credit risk is balanced with business objectives, targets are met and that only valid expenses with proper management authorization are paid.
Responsible for proper timing and application of revenue recognition rules.
Ensure that company financial records are prepared reconciled and maintained in compliance with company policies and US GAAP.
Work as secondary contact for audits of the company financial records.
Responsibility to include implementation of agreed upon recommendations, resulting from the any audit findings, and spearheading the implementation of any recommendations for closure.
Management responsibility to include the entire employment lifecycle for assigned direct reports.
Setting the expectation for professional, confidential actions performed at the highest ethical expectations with a positive attitude is a key accountability.
Manage (or delegate) all organizational insurance coverage, including workmen's compensation, general liability; fleet auto coverage, directors', and officers' (D&O) policy, medical and other employee benefit plans, etc.

In conjunction with the Naples accounting management team.
Recommend benchmarks that will be used to measure the company's performance.
Produce the annual budget and forecasts; reports significant budget differences to management.
Provide financial analysis, with emphasis on trends and growth objectives.
Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements Work both independently and within a team environment to assist in propelling the business toward its goals.
Maintain a proper filing system.
Offer backup support to any member of the team as directed.
Physical presence at the assigned work location to complete tasks in the above-mentioned systems.
Attend all assigned meetings.
Follow all company policies and procedures.
Other duties as assigned.
Essential Qualifications 5
years of professional experience with experience overseeing financial and operational systems ; previous oversight of accounting functions required.
Experience in the mining materials environment is strongly preferred.
Expertise in financial functions required, including:
Accounting & Controls; Compliance; Reporting; Budgeting; Financial Modeling; Business Planning.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, a strong customer service (family) mentality and high degree of accountability and follow-through.
Organized project manager with the ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively; ability to be both strategic and tactical simultaneously.
Excellent analytic and problem-solving skills with the ability to take a thoughtful approach to addressing challenges.
Ability to think strategically about how to build and refine systems and processes for effective organizational management and improvement.
Demonstrated success managing people, functions and processes.
Highly organized with demonstrated ability to handle large amounts of data and priorities Advanced proficiency in MS Excel required, QuickBooks experience a plus.
Bachelor's Degree required.
Master's in business, finance or relevant degree preferred.
Compensation is dependent upon experience.
